The feeling of left out

There are moments when you can be surrounded by people and still feel completely alone. This poem came from one of those moments — a place of quiet hurt, where words were hard to speak out loud. If you’ve ever felt like the outsider in your own home, I hope these lines make you feel seen.

The Feeling of Left Out

The feeling that’s always been unsaid—
Of being left out, even in your own home.
Living with people you call your own,
Yet feeling like a stranger, always alone.

Smiling faces cut the deepest scars,
Their joy echoes while I fall apart.
Their laughter fills the room with light,
While I bleed silently, out of sight.

Still, I smile — like I love them all,
Even when inside, I continue to fall.
The feeling of being left out hurts the most,
Watching someone bathe in love…
While another dies for just one dose.

Thank you for reading. If this spoke to you, know that you're not alone in feeling this way. Sometimes, putting the pain into words is the first step toward healing. Feel free to share your thoughts or your own stories in the comments — I’d love to hear from you. 💬💔
